Website or Instagram: What Works Better for a Small Business?
Instagram helps people follow you. A website helps ready buyers find and contact you.
Instagram is useful, but it is not the same as a website. A social page is good for updates and followers. A website is for the customer who searches, compares, and wants a quick way to contact you.
Instagram is not enough when people search
Many customers do not start inside a social app. They search for a cafe, barber, repair shop, or service near them. If your only presence is a social profile, you depend on whether that profile appears and whether the customer is willing to open it.
A website feels more serious
- It gives you a clean link for Google, maps, flyers, bio pages, and messages.
- It shows your offer without forcing people to scroll through old posts.
- It keeps the contact button visible when the customer is ready.
Use both, but let each do its job
Instagram can show your daily activity. Your website should be the simple page that explains what you offer and gets the customer to message you. Add the website link to your social bio, messages, QR codes, and printed materials.
If you can have only one new thing this week, make the website first. It becomes the link you can use everywhere else.
